Do Something

"I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." Helen Keller (1880–1968)

Miss Helen Keller L.H.D., L.L.D. noted blind and deaf American authoress and philosopher, came to Australia in 1948.

Miss Keller’s visit helped to stimulate public interest in Deaf people and her remarkable enthusiasm created new hope for a better world for Deaf children and adults and their families.
Whilst visiting Brisbane, Helen said, “If I could live again I should do so much more that I have for the deaf “.

The Deaf Community throughout Queensland is faced with a future of ever-increasing need for services available through Deaf Services Queensland.  There are a number of ways that individuals, business and organisations can do something to increase the capabilities and opportunities for deaf and hearing impaired Queenslanders and their families.
