Deaf Services Queensland is the primary provider of Australian Sign Language Interpreters (Auslan) in Queensland. Our team of interpreters are accredited by the Australian body of Interpreters and Translators (NAATI – National Accredited Authority of Translators and Interpreters) and have extensive experience in Auslan interpreting. Our guarantee is a quality service that you receive with accurate communication of information from Auslan to English and from English to Auslan.
Our team of interpreters attend appointments in all facets of life and all places across Queensland to facilitate communication and act as a conduit between the deaf and hearing individuals.
As the demand for accredited Auslan Interpreters is high, it is recommended that you book with our service as soon as the need arises.
Booking an interpreter is a simple process and can be done

Every attempt to supply the interpreter of your preference will be made. This depends on availability at the time of booking.
Bookings of 2 hours or more duration will, in most instances, necessitate two (2) interpreters to be allocated to the appointment.
Please be specific when providing information regarding the nature of the appointment. i.e. every little bit of information to identify buildings and specific landmarks helps us point the interpreter in the right direction.
Once the request has been received we will contact you within 48 hours.
Please remember, book early to avoid disappointment.
If requiring an interpreter within 48 hours of the appointment, every endeavour to complete the request will be made.
After Hours Emergency Service - 1800 630 745
Deaf Services Queensland provides an after hours emergency interpreting service. Available after office hours (8.00am – 6.00pm) for emergency situations. An ‘emergency’ is a potentially life threatening or crisis situation. After service rosters interpreters to be on call throughout this time and will only respond to emergency situations.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled prior to 48 hours (business days) will incur a $30 fee.
Bookings cancelled 24 – 48 business hours before the time of the appointment will incur half the fee quoted to be invoiced to you.
Bookings cancelled less that 24 business hours (Mon – Fri) before the appointment will incur the full fee invoiced to you.

$71.50 per hour – Minimum 2 hours or part thereof

$88.00 per hour - Minimum 2 hours or part thereof
C : CBD Parking
$25 (Flat fee)
